Abstract

Ruang Belajar Aqil is a Community Reading Center that actively organizes various language learning activities, discussions and soft skills improvement, which is attended by children to adults. As a non-profit institution, the learning activities carried out by the Ruang Belajar Aqil so far can be done with donations and assistance from volunteers. This study aims to find out how Ruang Belajar Aqil innovates in its management and development as a Community Reading Center so that it can be used as an example by other Community Reading Center. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with the management of Ruang Belajar Aqil. The results showed that several Ruang Belajar Aqil innovations were carried out by relying on a collaborative network of alumni and Ruang Belajar Aqil administrators. In addition, cooperation with the government in the Certified Independent Study and Internship programĀ  is also carried out so that it attracts students to become volunteers in this Community Reading Center. Ruang Belajar Aqil Community Reading Center has succeeded in becoming a reference for the people of Malang in seeking information through various innovations carried out, this can be a reference for all current Community Reading Center managers to do the same so they can develop their institutions and provide access to information to the public through Community Reading Center.
