Abstract

Speech Impairment or speech delay is a type of communication disorder in which a person has difficulties to produce speech sound correctly. Speech therapy is required for children with speech delay in order to assist them in improving their communication skills and effectively communicating with others. Mobile devices can be used as an educational tool to assist children in learning. This article will mainly discuss the enhancement of speech delay ability through a mobile application for children. It also talks about the suitability design criteria of the mobile application. However, a study has provided quantitative data to support this observation. Here, we did a survey by using a questionnaire and have been completed by 30 respondents. The target of this study were children aged 3 to 6 years old. The application functions were designed and developed based on creativity and efficiency for the users by improving the existing application. The expected result is this mobile application can give a good impact to the children and can help them in improving their speech well.
